Vassiliki Watersports Festival & Midsummer Madness

June 19th – June 23rd 2009


For the past two years the small village of Vassiliki on the idyllic Greek island of Lefkas has been host to a Festival of freestyle and slalom windsurfing competitions, sailing regattas for all types of boats, BMX and skateboard displays, drinks parties, beach barbeques, Greek cultural evenings, UK rock bands, and, of course, the famous Vassiliki Miss Bikini competition.

This year, with up to 10,000 euros prize money being available across the events there is going to be expected even greater International participation than ever before with teams expected from Greece, Holland, Belgium, Italy, Sweden, Germany, Austria, Serbia, the Czech Republic and the UK.

Entries to the windsurfing and sailing competition are limited and the organisation invites EARLY ENTRIES! Entry forms can be found on the website.

Plus, of course, beach volley, beach soccer and plenty of family fun each and every day!

EVENING EVENTS

Friday June 19 Welcome and Greek Cultural Evening

Saturday June 20th Miss Bikini competition supported by the WILDWIND ALLSTARS band, also Prize giving for Round The Island Bike race.

Sunday June 21st Prize giving for Sailing & Yacht regattas, demonstration of Greek dancing, followed by VIP dinner

Monday June 22nd Final prize giving for windsurfing competitions, followed by UK band and DJ Monster Muck.
